Wine Tour Recap

Our second annual Wine Tour through Sonoma and Marin County was a huge success.  The weather, the routes and the people were all first class.  The final touches were put on the Ironman Training program, so now it is just time to add a final long run before we move towards reducing our volume and increasing the intensity.

Pacing and staying within oneself aerobically were stressed and in turn were executed well by most all the athletes.

Next tour on the agenda is the rustic Sierra Tour in mid September.  Also, we have the womens only triathlon camp happening at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley at the end of August.

Ironman Meeting

Many people on the team will be doing an Ironman in 23 days.  We are ready for it, but we probably should have a talk/meeting before we leave.

We will have a meeting at Burgess Pool on Tuesday June 13, following the Tuesday evening run.  I plan on starting the meeting about 7:15 PM on the patio on the park side of the pool entrance and ending about 8:00 PM.

We will discuss race logistics, travel logistics, training and tapering concepts, and I can answer any questions that you may have.  All are welcome.

Burgess Pool Lap Swims

I have been asked many times by team members about the availability of the pools for the Team Sheeper triathlete.

We offer lap swimming over 40 hours per week.  Triathletes are welcome to use the pool at any of the lap swim times for $5 per swim or for $23 per month.

Olivia's Miles

As a team, we will be supporting The Runners High as the direct the Olivia's Miles 5K and 1 mile run.  I have committed all the Ironman athletes to the 1 mile run as we attempt to make that a competitive event.

Our Olympic athletes will be doing the 5K that day as part of a Run-Bike-Run Saturday morning workout.

Registration can be done online at: www.active.com or in person at The Runner's High.
