I would like to thank everyone in attendance this past Saturday for your interest and input into team development.  It was great to see the high turnout and the passionate feelings about prized events and training sessions.

I have attempted to write a recap of what I heard stated and then I started in on a rough draft of our upcoming months of training.

Recap of athlete requests and statements:

1.  Many requests to race short and local triathlons
2.  Boston Marathon in 2007 is desirable
3.  High interest in intramural team events
4.  High interest in bicycle tours
5.  Increase bike/run combo training sessions
6.  Trail races requested
7.  Would like fee reduction for whole team for events
8.  Late IM race if possible, but not a big team focus, could be every other year
9.  Volunteers for committees Kristian, Mimi, Elspeth, Kirsten
10. Fall run focus is favorable
11. Half Marathon run events in fall is favorable
12. More coaching support at workouts
13. Merging rec and moms team into one tri team is positive
14. Mid morning workouts at least three days per week
15. Wednesday mid morning bike is a must


1. Event Fee Reduction Committee-Mimi Winsberg, Elspeth Farmer
a. once events are solidified team promotion to race directors and community

2. Specific Event Logistical Team Planning-Kirsten Kempe, Kristian Neergard
a. best travel arrangements
b. lodging, food, transfers
c. team gatherings at events

Mid Morning Workouts:

The mid morning workouts will resume in September and remain unchanged for

Tuesday-Combo 9:30 am-Burgess
Wednesday-Bike 9:15 am-Burgess
Thursday-Run 9:30 am-Burgess and off-site

Tentative at the moment, but there is a strong possibility that there will be a strong team presence.

Sept. 24 Sentinel Triathlon-Santa Cruz

Oct. 8 Rock and Roll Half Marathon-San Jose
Oct. 13-15- Santa Barbara Tour

Nov. 5 Treasure Island Tri-SF
Nov. 20 Clarksburg 20 miler and Half Marathon-Delta (superb prep for Cal Marathon)

Dec. 3 California International Marathon-Sacramento (Boston Qualifier)
Dec. 17 Christmas Relays-SF (4x4.6 miles, 4 to a team)

Sept.   IM Wisconsin-(If interested, sign-up for 2007 as soon as possible after the Sept 10, 2006 race.  Lake Placid sold out in 90 minutes.  There will be a training structure through the summer of 2007 to prepare the IM athletes.  I will not discriminate against the long distance athlete even though they were not heavily represented at the meeting.)
