The coaching philosophy of Team Sheeper is built on shared knowledge, creativity, and open-mindedness. The foundation of our team is group training with a clear purpose: well being, longevity, positive mindset, community, and results. The consistency of team workouts, the spark of team events, and peak performance at races together inspire our athletes.

We recognize that each athlete is different and what works for one athlete might not work for another. To help you engage with the sport in a way that’s best for you, coaches offer an annual goals session. You can fill out our Athlete Goals Questionnaire and meet with Tim to share your aspirations and optimize your experience with the team.

Tim Sheeper

Founder and Head Coach

For over 30 years Tim Sheeper has guided and mentored new, emerging athletes and seasoned competitors. He has a proven track record of success both as a coach and relentlessly pursues excellence in his own athletic endeavors. Tim’s firsthand experience as a pro athlete gives him insights into the physical, mental, and emotional demands of triathlon training and competition. Tim enjoys coaching athletes in every aspect of their performance and at all experience levels. He shares proven training methodologies and advancements in nutrition and sports science. Tim makes the time to work closely with athletes to establish personalized goals and develop a strategic plan to achieve them. He adapts to meet the ever-changing needs, commitments and goals of our athletes. Tim is the heartbeat of the team.

Mike Osmond

Team Manager

Mike holds the post of organizer, communicator, and ombudsman for Team Sheeper. He creates and maintains a supportive and inclusive team environment. As a competitive mountain bike racer, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge as well as great energy to the team. He coaches workouts with Tim. Mike connects people to each other. He infuses lightheartedness into training sessions and team meetings, creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere where members feel comfortable challenging themselves. Mike manages the flow of communication to members through the calendar, newsletter and social postings. He is the key resource for team logistics and news. New members benefit from meeting with Mike to learn more about the team dynamics, workout schedule and getting started. Don’t hesitate to “Ask Mike.”
